Below you will find the video tutorial for how to make this farmhouse Christmas sign, with the phrase “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” complete with a little forest of pine trees at the bottom!

Under the video be sure to check out the exact items I use to create this sign. If you don’t already know I made and sold signs on Etsy for 3 years, while I no longer do that, I did learn a whole lot about the right tools and materials to make the process much more fluid and easy!! So be sure to check that list out before you go!

The Recommended Supply List for Making Signs

Wood- I use cabinet wood that comes in 4x8ft sheets at Home Depot

Framing wood-I use 1×2 inch by 8ft furring wood strips from Home Depot

I painted the background in Behr flat latex indoor paint in the color Swiss Coffee

My favorite vinyl is oracle 361

I use matte Mod Podge

This is my favorite scraping tool to adhere the vinyl to the transfer tape then the sign

I use these medical grade scalpel (be careful) to weed my vinyl

I swear by this transfer tape!!?

I love to use Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in the color Trophy

I like to use this foam roller

I love these paint brushes they last forever and don’t shed!

I have used the original Silhouette cutting machine so much that it died I upgraded to the Silhouette cameo three and LOVE it even more!

I love the roll feeder extension for large rolls of vinyl I only cut about 48 inch lengths to avoid the machine getting off track.

PRO TIP: I cut large size signs like this one in half using the “knife tool” the icon is a knife and then piece the two sides together. This way I can make signs larger than 12 inches wide.
