This room is one of my absolute favorite spots in our home. This room gets such beautiful light since it is south facing, the white shiplapped walls reflect that light so beautifully making it just such a fun room to decorate because it looks so much prettier draped in the beautiful natural light! This room was originally our 4th baby Portlynn’s nursery. Her gender was a surprise until she was born so I decorated this room with a white and gray gender neutral theme! You can see the way it looked then HERE. She is now a little over a year old and just moved into her big sister Scarlett’s room! Who begged and pleaded to share a room with her! Seriously the cutest thing! Scarlett is beside her self with excitement she gets to share a room with her little sister! We often have friends and family visit so it was nice to have a guest room/work room in our home! I often do my video editing in this room because it has better sound quality ( lame I know LOL) The white shiplap walls were a DIY project and one of the very first we ever did in this house, you can read all about how we did that and the products we used in this post.
We have lived in our home 4 years now and It still surprises me just how much things have changed and been rearranged in that short time! One thing I love about owning a home is that you have the liberty to make those changes and switch things around as your needs and wants change! This upcoming year I look forward to tackling some of my early room makeovers and freshening them up with a style and decor and paint that more true to me. Lets be honest I had no idea what I liked when we first moved in and those first few rooms reflect that. I’m really excited to get in and change them up, make them more functional and more “me”! I hope you enjoy this video tour! be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to be the first to see any new video projects I’m working on!
